Afterwards, FORTIS devoted itself to the aviation and space industries and began space missions in 1992. In 1994, it was designated as an astronaut timer by the Gagarin Space Training Center in Russia and played an important role in the manned space mission MIR97.

For example, FORTIS' Terrestis Orchestra series men's mechanical watches feature an ETA 2895-2 automatic mechanical movement with a power reserve of 42 hours.
