Since its launch in 2013, the Legacy Machine n ° 2 has undergone some changes, but it always manages to captivate people. The version released in 2018 combines a platinum case with a purple dial made using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) treatment, giving us a rare and intense visual impact. For the new LM2 red gold blue watch, MB&F is still using this chemical process to give it fashionable charm, but this time it uses magnetic blue platinum with a sun effect finish.
In this exquisite decoration that respects the style of the 19th century, the protective sapphire dome contains a small white enamel dial located at the 12 o'clock position, around which the hour and minute hands rotate, and two symmetrical flying balance wheels produce a slow vibration rhythm of 18800 times per hour. At the 6 o'clock position, the protruding planetary differential adjusts the entire system. As an interface, it transmits the average speed of two regulators to a single gear train.
The rose gold case with a diameter of 44 millimeters is assembled from 41 parts, and the 241 components of the movement contribute to the efficient operation of the watch. This manually wound movement is crafted by Jean Fran ç ois Mojon and Kari Voutilainen, ensuring a 45 hour power reserve when fully charged.
