In 2014, MB&F launched a Legacy Machine -101, which was equipped with the first completely self-developed movement and embedded in a rose gold case. Since then, various versions such as platinum, platinum, and grain finish have marked the history of this watch. In order to achieve a beautiful ending in 2019, this watch is now decorated with palladium. In addition, this is the first work in the history of the Geneva brand to feature this precious metal as the main character. The 40mm diameter case presents a silver gray color, with polished and finely brushed finish details. The Legacy Machine 101 palladium case contrasts perfectly with the sun ray brushed dial, which changes from light blue to light green depending on the lighting. This background contains two pure white painted eccentric disks, one displaying hours and minutes with blue pointers and Roman numerals, and the other indicating power reserve.
In terms of engineering, this watch is equipped with an impressive 14 millimeter diameter balance wheel suspended by two polished metal arches. This slow jumping is driven by a manually wound movement, which provides 45 hours of autonomy once fully wound. Its gentle vibration frequency of 18000 times per hour reminds people of pocket watches from the past. Many of the 229 components in its core are handmade according to the greatest watchmaking tradition, and can be appreciated through the slightly arched sapphire crystal back cover.
