Marine Corps Military - Athens Table
Military Inspiration
These two new limited edition watches are the latest members of the Marine Torpilleur series, inspired by the military field, especially the navy, which has maintained a close relationship with Athenian watches since 1846.
Since the 1960s, military style has become a part of our daily fashion, most notably when Yves Saint Laurent (1936-2008) introduced hunting jackets into women's wardrobes. This jacket was originally designed for the British military in the late 19th century. Clothing including workwear, wide and high boots, or famous mailman bags, especially colors such as khaki green, Shami, and even navy blue, are popular on the runway, then enter the wardrobe, and finally reach the wrist.
For Ulysse Nardin, this is not just a trend, as the brand based in Le Locle has been focusing on nautical astronomical clocks since its establishment in 1846. The marine astronomical clock was an essential instrument for naval vessels at that time, and the brand will continue this tradition by launching two new Marine Torpilleur Military watches.
