LUMINOR LUNA ROSSA
Since officially announcing its partnership with Luna Rossa in January last year, this Italian watchmaker has launched three new watches designed in the colors of the Italian team, specifically for water sports.
At the Geneva International Watch Show in January 2019, Panerai announced that it had become the new official partner of the Luna Rossa sailing team, whose AC75 monocoque will represent Italy in the next Copa America sailing race scheduled to be held in New Zealand from January to March 2021. After the sailing ceremony in early October, this Florentine watchmaker launched three new watches specially designed in the colors of the Italian team for water sports: Luminor Luna Rossa.
The case diameters of these watches are 47 millimeters and 44 millimeters, including the crown protection device, all in black, highlighting the technical materials dedicated to their various functions: Luminor Luna Rossa Regatta (PAM01038) uses Carbotech - a carbon fiber based composite material adorned with fine stripes; Luminor Luna Rossa Chrono Flyback (PAM01037) is made of ceramic; Luminor Luna Rossa GMT uses DLC coated titanium metal. They are all automatic winding watches, with the first two models featuring the P.9100 movement and the third model featuring the P.9010/GMT movement.
