Limes Watchs
Limit is a brand under the TIME PRODUCES group in the UK. The Limit watch brand was founded by Alfred Hirst in Oldham, England in 1912. Nowadays, Limit provides the world with cost-effective daily timing accessories watches.
In 1912, Hirst registered the LIMIT trademark for his watch products. The word 'limit' in English means' limited '. Hirst has established a factory in Switzerland dedicated to producing high-quality movements.
These movements were exported to the UK and housed in cases that conform to British classical aesthetics. This combination quickly made Hirst's watch products popular in the UK. However, two years later, World War I broke out and LIMIT stopped production and turned to producing optical instruments for the British army.
The cricket team formed by LIMIT gained great fame in the matches between Lancashire and Yorkshire. In the 1920s, cricket was the primary recreational activity for many LIMIT employees. Currently, LIMIT has over 500 employees and its product line covers watches, jewelry, and accessories.
In 1963, LIMIT joined the British watch giant Time Products Group.
Marcus' Time Products Group also owns two major British domestic watch brands, Accurist and Sekonda. The former is a supplier of timing equipment for the Greenwich Observatory, while the latter has been the best-selling watch brand in the UK for over 20 consecutive years.
