For car racing enthusiasts, Shozei is no stranger. In 1973, he was the first Japanese driver to participate in the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race. The former owner of this Formula One team passed on his passion to his daughter Mai. She loves speed and a bold lifestyle just like her father. Now, as an independent creative director and consultant, she conveys this alternative spirit and continues this tradition through the Shengze Racing Team.
TAG Heuer has teamed up with Bamford Personalization Studio to design a limited edition watch consisting of 100 pieces, featuring the colors of a Japanese racing team. On the white protein stone dial of this Carrera series, the red lacquer hour counter dominates. The deep red color scheme is also decorated with a direct drive device and partially covered with Super LumiNova ® The hour and minute hands, as well as the second hand scale and logo on the flange.
The Heuer 02 movement is located inside a 42mm diameter stainless steel case. This automatic winding movement equipped with column wheels can accurately measure short cycle times. This high-performance movement provides 80 hours of power reserve. The Tiggo Yaris Carrera chronograph x Team Ikuzawa launched by Bamford comes with two wrap around straps, a stainless steel bracelet, and a Velcro ® Fixed calf leather strap. In addition, the display box also includes a miniature Porsche, reaffirming the design of Tetsu Ikuzawa's famous 906 during the 1967 Japanese Grand Prix.
