Horn 1955- Watch
Behind the 6087 series, born in the mid-1950s, lies Vacheron Constantin's first waterproof chronograph with a depth of 30 meters. This watch originally used a manual winding mechanical movement, and was later equipped with an automatic winding movement in 1969.
In 2015, the watchmaking factory reinterpreted the series with two exquisite pieces, one made of platinum and the other made of rose gold. This year, the timepiece named Histoire Cornes de Vache 1955 returns, equipped with a 38.5mm stainless steel case and a thickness of 10.90mm. On the gray milky white dial surrounded by minute tracks and speedometer scales, there is a small second dial and a 30 minute timing dial arranged in a double compound form, passed by platinum hour and minute hands.
The time information and short-term measurement are both powered by the 1142 movement of the column wheel, which is adjusted to vibrate at a frequency of 21600 vibrations per hour. This manually wound mechanical movement ensures 48 hours of power reserve after winding. Through the sapphire watch back, you can see most of the 164 handmade decorative components.
