The pulse meter was first invented in 1854 and is a mechanical instrument used to measure heart rate. It is bulky and impractical, gradually being replaced by watches including pulse meters. These watches were favored by the medical community in the mid-20th century. They are called 'doctor watches' and display pulse rates directly on the dial without the need for mental calculation. Today, this type of clock is very popular, and the most important thing is its design.
Montblanc drew inspiration from Minerva's experience and created the Heritage Pulsograph Limited Edition 100 pieces, a single button chronograph with a pulse bezel that can count up to 30 heartbeats. As the name suggests, it is limited to only 100 pieces.
The color of the curved dial immediately caught people's attention, presenting a delicate and bright salmon pink. In the center, there is a time marker circle composed of Arabic numerals and silver dots inside the central ring of the grain pattern. The hours and minutes are displayed through two toffee style hands, while the second hand ticks on the blue sub dial at the 9 o'clock position. This timing landscape is surrounded by a black second scale, with the blue second hand of the chronograph rotating around it, and the blue pulse meter located near the chapter ring. The accumulator at the 3 o'clock position is used to accumulate the minutes of the chronograph.
